How to prepare hosting (PHP, SSL)

A few tips on working with hosting.

For your landing page to work properly, you need:

    • A hosting service that supports PHP.

    • An SSL certificate for secure HTTPS.

❗️If you need help creating a hosting account or working with it, we recommend contacting your hosting provider's support directly.

    Choosing hosting

We recommend proven Ukrainian services, for example “Hosting Ukraine”, which support PHP 5.2–8.4 and are guaranteed to work with EasyWeb landing pages.

    How to add a domain?

    • Sign in to the client panel of your hosting.

    • Go to the “Domains” section.

    • If you haven't bought the domain yet, you can order a new one right in the panel, or transfer a domain by setting the hosting's DNS records.

    • Choose a domain from the list to create the site.

    Creating a hosting account

    • In the “Hosting” section, click “Order new” or use an existing one.

    • Activation time: up to 30 minutes (often faster — up to 3 min).

    • Once activation is done, go to the “File manager” and delete the default placeholder file.

    Setting up an SSL certificate

    The free option (Let's Encrypt)

    • In the panel, choose the SSL section.
    • Start generating a free certificate (Let's Encrypt). This can take up to an hour.
    • Once it's active, set up a redirect from HTTP → HTTPS in the site settings.

    Via Cloudflare

    • Sign up for Cloudflare.
    • Add your domain → “SSL/TLS” → Full (strict) mode.
    • Go to “Origin server” → click “Create Certificate” → download the Origin certificate → install it on the hosting in the SSL panel.

Note: choose the right SSL mode, otherwise the redirect may not work properly.

    Checking that it works

    • Open your domain in a browser — https://yourdomain should open with a green padlock (some browsers don't show it).

    • If the padlock doesn't appear, check that the files are in the right place, that SSL is correct (certificate + key) and that there's no mixed HTTP content (all links must start with https://).

    Life hacks

    • If you need a dedicated IP address, contact your provider's tech support (recommended when installing SSL for older browsers).
    • After changing files on the hosting, be sure to clear the browser cache and reload the page.
    • Don't forget to check that PHP is on and its version is at least 5.6 — integrations need this to work properly.
