Structure mistakes (the first 2 screens matter most!)
What not to overlook when building the first part of the site.
3–5 seconds — that's how long the first impression of a site takes. If in that time visitors don't understand what you sell and why they need it, they leave. That's why the first 2 screens are critical: they decide whether there will be an order.
Typical mistakes
1. A headline about nothing
It's unclear what you're offering.
Bad example: “The perfect choice for everyone”.
Good example: “Humidifier with a night light for a kids' room”.
2. No benefit for the customer
Visitors don't see what they'll get. Show the advantage in one sentence: “Clean air and calm sleep for your child”.
3. No button or form on the first screen
Even if everything is perfect, without a CTA (a button or a form) visitors don't act.
How to do it right?
First screen = the offer
- Product name
- Photo
- Key benefit
- An “Order” button or a form
Second screen = proof
- 3–5 advantages as bullet points
- Social proof (a review, numbers, usage)
Summary
Successful landing pages aren't complicated — they're logical.
