    How to work with reviews

    Reviews are the key to trust. Learn how to present them so they sell.

    Reviews are a key element of social proof. When visitors see that others have already chosen your product or service, it's easier for them to decide.

    If you have real reviews

    Use them everywhere:

    • screenshots from Instagram;

    • videos with customers;

    • text reviews with photos.

    👌 Real stories always beat fake ones. Even small downsides in them add credibility.

    If you're just launching

    In product e-commerce, reviews are often built on the “fake it till you make it” principle. That's fine — the main thing is to do it well and with respect for the visitor.

    What matters for trust:

    • First name + last name (realistic, not “John Doe”).

    • A photo (of the product or the person).

    • Text — believable, not “perfect”. Add details and usage examples.

    • Location — city, region, country.

    • Review date — preferably recent (if it's updated automatically).

    • Different lengths — 1–4 sentences, like in real life.

    • Light criticism — small downsides add credibility, for example: “I had doubts at first because the box was damaged, but everything inside was perfect — I'll order again.”

    How many reviews are enough?

    At least 8–10 reviews on a landing page. This creates a sense of volume and real demand.

    Summary

    People trust people! Even fake reviews can work — if they're written wisely and look real. But it's better to gradually replace them with real ones as soon as real orders start coming in.
