Technical or visual errors on a landing page
The site looks broken, nothing works or the layout fell apart? Diagnosis and quick fixes.
How to tell a technical error from a content one?
If your landing page on the domain looks different from the “Preview” window, it may be a technical error. If the content is the same in both places, check what's filled in in the builder.
A common case: a button that doesn't work (probably no form was added).
Why might blocks look wrong?
How things look can change (or not show at all) depending on the device, the browser and its version.
Browser extensions (AdBlock, VPN, translators, spell checkers) sometimes get in the way of the site working properly.
In-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook) may block videos or scripts, including the “Mini video” block.
Old Android browsers don't support autoplay for mp4 — in such cases the video doesn't play.
What to do if the form doesn't work?
Check that the site has at least one order form. The “Button” block isn't a form by itself — it only leads to the nearest form.
You must have an SSL certificate (https) — without it, orders won't be sent.
Your hosting must support PHP (you can find this in the hosting documentation or ask its support).
Check that you uploaded the latest version of the archive after all the changes in the builder.
Changes made to the landing page after you downloaded the archive are not applied automatically to the landing page already installed on the hosting!
Why aren't changes saved in the builder?
We recommend using Chrome or Firefox (Safari can be unstable).
If edits aren't applied, you may be pasting text with outside formatting or hidden characters (for example, from Word or PDF). See the article about cleaning text and content format.
What to do if the landing page doesn't open after uploading?
Unpack the archive right on the hosting, not locally.
If the domain had old files, delete them before uploading the new archive.
Make sure you didn't edit the code by hand — we don't guarantee the landing page works after changes.
If the problem remains, open the site in incognito mode or clear the browser cache.
How to roll back changes or restart the site?
Just download the landing page from the builder again and upload the fresh version to the hosting.
How to report a real technical error?
Write to support and include:
- Your EasyWeb ID.
- A link to the landing page.
- A short description of the error.
- Ideally: a screenshot or video.
